On the morning of October 28, 2023, School of Government held a thesis proposal defense for 2021&2022 international students in Qiusuo Building. A total of 9 teachers participated in the proposal defense as judges. 26 students, majoring in MCA, IMPA, and Administrative Management, participated in the defense.

This defense mainly consists of the international students’ presentation, Q&A and judges’ revision opinions. International students first present their proposal focusing on significance, framework, research methodology, etc. Then the judges comment and ask questions, after which students should give answers. While praising the content of the proposal, judges also pointed out some shortcomings and problems in the research approach, putting forward suggestions to help international students clarify their research ideas and revise research content.

This proposal defense, a platform for international students to communicate and exchange ideas with teachers, enables them to have a deeper understanding of their proposal to complete their graduation thesis better in the future.
